Who am I?
For more information e-mail Steuart of NZ Hunting Info Ltd
I am Steuart Laing, a keen hunter who over 35 years has covered much of New Zealand on hunting trips.
In the 1960s, while at High School, I began my hunting career using an ex army Lee Enfield .303 rifle, identical to the rifles that we used in compulsory military training.
During university vacations I worked for a number of New Zealand National Parks (Fiordland, Aspiring and Arthurs Pass) undertaking a wide variety of duties often with hunting as the ultimate objective.
For two years I was employed by the New Zealand Forest Service on plant and wild animal surveys. Utilising both my degree in botany and a post graduate diploma in horticulture I was able to build up an excellent knowledge of the New Zealand flora. Further more, while on bird and game surveys I worked alongside scientists who specialised in the New Zealand fauna. Consquently I also became knowledgable about New Zealand birds, animals and the introduced game species.
My scientific background and practical experience have contributed to a broad hunting knowledge that I enjoy sharing with other people....

In recent years I have written a book titled:
